How does Shared Start work:

  • You own 100% of your new Harron home
  • You only arrange a mortgage for 85% of the price
  • The remaining 15% is an interest free loan from Harron Homes
  • Pay us the 15% back within 10 years or when you come to sell your home - whichever is sooner

What you have to do:

  • Pay your 5% deposit as normal
  • Pay your legal fees & stamp duty (if applicable)

What if's...

  • If you improve your property you do not pass 15% of the increased value to Harron Homes
  • If the market value of your property increases the repayment is 15% of the market value at the point of resale or end of the 10 year period
